Since 1992, PCL has researched, developed and published UK editions of the widely acclaimed Hogan personality questionnaires, including HPI (The Bright Side), HDS (The Dark Side), and the MVPI (The Inside). Rated highly by the British Psychological Society, the questionnaires are used to improve selection decisions, management development, team building, culture fit and executive coaching.
The establishment of PCL's online assessment centre, PsyKey, has played an important part in developing both new working relationships with clients and new assessment strategies, facilitated by the increased flexibility and cost effective access it can provide.
2005 saw the launch of PROFILE:MATCH®. Heralded as the next generation in online testing, PROFILE:MATCH® offers targeted personality assessments that focused on the competencies associated with high performance. It addresses the complete employee life cycle using one common metric, from initial candidate sifting reports through to high level Leadership assessments and 360 appraisals.
At a time when risk issues are high on everyone's agenda, it has proved challenging to get to grips with human factor risk. The best personality assessments differentiate people according to the dispositions that underpin their behaviour; whether, for example, they are disposed to be anxious or reckless, optimistic or pessimistic, trusting or wary, organised or impulsive, excitement seeking or cautious. In 2010 we published the Risk-Type Compass™ which addresses 18 personality themes that influence one's appetite for risk and places respondents into one of eight distinctive Risk Types.
