20th November 2020

Did you know that on this date in 1984, McDonalds made its 50 billionth hamburger? Or that, apparently, it’s National Peanut Butter Fudge Day in the US?  Even more momentous, however, is that it has been ONE WHOLE YEAR since our International Risk Conference –  The Risk Type Summit.

A brilliantly insightful day of inspiring talks and breakout sessions, from speakers such as Aviation Psychologist Johann Wium, to Christine Bishop of MK Business Psychology and international consultant and author Dr. Ruth Murray-Webster of Potentiality UK, to name just a few.

What have we been up to since?

This year, we have been working hard to continually develop the Risk Type Compass tool to ensure it retains its position as the leading risk personality psychometric. We have had the pleasure of ‘meeting’ (thanks Zoom!) such a diverse group of global clients. We have published research results via multiple white papers, including ResiliencePsychological Capital, and the link between Risk Type & Mental Toughness. Penned many a blog including how our dream football team might look and the Unavoidable Risk of Change after a Global Pandemic. We have supported multiple MSc students in completing our SSP – with a fascinating array of informative dissertations produced as a result.

We have hosted a plethora of webinars, such as our popular Challenging Risk Culture event where we introduced our Risk Type Landscape tool, as well as a PCL talks webinar, exploring a link between how the world renowned HDS questionnaire can enrich the interpretation of RTC results. We had the honour of hosting a talk at the Dutch Actuarial event – Day of the Actuary – and are excitedly preparing for our upcoming guest webinar with the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) on Human Factor Risk – which will inform an international audience of Risk Managers about how the Risk Type Compass will help them to face the future. We are also proud to have featured in publications such as The Actuary and to have made a guest appearance on leading financial market podcast, AlphaMind, hosted by Trader Coaches, Steven Goldstein and Mark Randall.

With many more plans in the pipeline, here’s to an exciting 2021 ahead, we hope to see you – in person – then.
